Happy Halloween 2018

Pumpkin Patch Trip!

The kids have never been to a pumpkin patch because in Alaska they dont have them so this was a ton of fun for all of us! We got to get a pumpkin, go through the spooky house, ride toddler tractors, climb the hay stack, sit on a real tractor, go pumpkin bowling, and go through the corn maze.

                                                                               

The Kids Running Move Your Bones 5k

Today Nic and Natalie got to sit this one out and take a turn being the support team. Lexi, Madison and Merek ran this weekend at the Move Your Bones 5k in Turlock. It was Madi and Lexi's first 5k race. Merek ran a 400 meter with the other 5yr and under kids. They all did GREAT! Lexi got a time of 29:44 and Madison got a time of 30:51. They did AWESOME! We are so proud of them!

 The video at the bottom is of Lexi , who got picked by the local news anchor, because she knows how to do a dance move called  flossing. She and the skeleton (Dr. Ferraro) did that dance for the local news. She had so much fun! She used to have flossing dance competitions with her friends in Alaska and now here she is dancing it up on the local news! She is so fun!

Morgan Hill Half Marathon 2018

So we decided to take one week and go from training for a 5k to a half marathon and try our legs at a half marathon to just see what that race was like, turned out it was excellent! We are moving our way into the distances so that we can do a marathon and ultras in our future and this race and distance was a great intro to moving into the next level. With more conditioning we will only be getting more awesome. We did great for our first half marathon. Out of 305 entrants Natalie got 108 and Nic 109 overall place. Natalie got a time of 2:08:00, 14th place in her age group, 41st place in gender place. Nic got a time of 2:08:01, 17th place in his age group, and 68th place in gender place. For only spending one week training distance so far we did great! First half marathon in bag, cheers to more to come and we welcome longer races in our near future! Feeling great!


                                                                                 

LOL That time we put and used a portal potty in our car so we didn't have to use the gross outhouses at the race festival.
