Us and Dad on the Primrose Trail

We took a hike with Dad on the Primrose Trail. There is still snow apparently on the summits of the peaks up there so we decided to head to the waterfall and eat some food and enjoy the scenery. It was 12 miles round trip and beautiful! The weather got chilly as the evening came upon us but it was nothing we were not prepared for so the trip was excellent!

We took a rest about 6 miles in since the snow started to get deeper the further up we went. Nats Dad, Steve, went up and scouted it out only to realize that the snow got to almost three feet deep higher up. At that point we decided to head back to the waterfall and eat.

Our packs as we took a rest

Nat and Merek looking at the waterfall. We were all amazed by its beauty. It was about 200 feet tall and it could be heard from the main trail head thundering through the canyon. Seeing it was awesome!

The Kids and Us at Captain Cook Beach

We went to Captain Cook Beach and hung out for the day. The kids had a blast playing in the water and in the sand, as well as climbing on the boulders and enjoying the sunshine:)

Merek got frustrated walking on the beach because it was uneven ground, that part he didn't like so much but once he found a spot to play he was happy......

Snap Shots of Life

The girls before they boarded for their California trip, Nat with the kiddos, Nic and Merek when we were waiting in the airport forever when we went to pick the girls up.

The kids and good times

Nic cleaning routes on a boulder, Mia and her friend and our student Joshua bouldering, Joshua learning the ropes and repelling, Nat by the overhang on the boulder.

Rest time is not often but this day was peaceful, some mommy and baby boy time to just relax for a moment.

Preparing for Easter....the kids coloring eggs, Merek's first Easter and him in wonderment of the eggs, and the surprise of Easter candies awaiting  girls.

Nic climbing and training in our gym

Natalie and Nic have been running up the miles and 5ks, excited for summer climbing, backpacking, and trail running. Merek loves riding in the jogger stroller when we go and the girls are doing awesome at cross country running as well. Besides going with us, they are on the running team at school.
