Not Much To Post Despite Our Busy Life

We have not had time to post much this school year despite our crazy busy yet very organized life. It's been a very good year indeed. The kids are doing good in school, theyre getting A's and B's. They have also been busy with friends on the weekends and staying active in sports during the week. Nic is icard certified at his job now and trained up as an auto painter. Merek and I are busy all day long learning through play and hanging out a couple times a week with mereks little friend. Sometimes we watch his luttke friends baby sister, who merek adores. Merek loves babies and hes so caring sensitive and kind. I posted a picture of him with his "baby dino" that he loves to take care of, its so cute! During the week we have fun going to jumping junction, the ranger stations toddler museum, and the library. Merek is talking a lot and is so much fun.  In the early mornings or late nights I'm running no matter the weather and training to run an ultra.

Reed Lakes Trail

We went to Reed Lakes and hiked to Lower Reed Lake. We jumped the gun again this year and hiked above 3,000 feet which entailed getting our feet wet in June snow. We scrambled over a talus field of car sized boulders for a couple miles mixed with snow and mud, but well worth it as we turned and went up into an epic bowl of jagged toothed mountains that look so very similar to pictures in Alpine magazine of the Sharks Fin in Meru. The landscape reminded the kids of scenes in Lord of The Rings. The kids did AWESOME on this hike! We were so proud of them and they had so much fun. We had a fantastic time outside. When we came down and out we went camping at a place in Palmer off the Old Glenn. It was a really nice campground. A good find. Then we took the kids to Anchorage and had a good time there before heading home. Everyone had a great time:)

Pictures don't do the massive size of the mountains any justice.
