Learning Balance

With the weather being almost 50 degrees and rainy today making the ice to climb melt but still too chilly and wet to make climbing outside any fun and a day off from teaching class we stayed in and played. Merek loves his train push toy so we had a good time scooting that all around the house. The train definitely is helping him find his balance, his center of gravity, and control while walking since he is still learning those skills.  He is not taking steps on his own just yet and he gets stiff in the knees meaning he gets excited and wont bend his legs lol but he relaxes and is comfortable when he is pushing around his train so today that's what we did! :)

Nic started him out with his car to push, this toy was the girls favorite toy when they were learning how to walk.

The car is a bit too fast when it rolls however

So Merek got his train and watched Nic do it

Whoa there!

Ok, I got this!

Here we go!

Oops!

Merek figured out he can move faster while on his knees pushing it lol

Merek looking back after he ran into the tv stand lol

ok lets try this again

Merek so happy and having a great time!

After an hour of walking around Merek was done and enjoyed playing with his activities on the train as well as pulling himself up from sitting down to standing before being done with that to explore the house and get into everything else:)

heres where the letter blocks come out...
